What's On
As part of our Community Project strand, we run several meet ups, social groups and events for neurodivergent adults and young people (over 15's).
We pride ourselves in making these events as neuro-affirmative and accepting as we possibly can, planning and hosting the events based on our clients' wishes and needs.
If you have any ideas for groups or events we could run in your area, get in touch!
Board Game Cafe
Once a fortnight, we run a low pressure, neuro-affirmative group board game cafe for over 15's in Chesterfield.
Our groups aim to be safe, inclusive, interest driven, low pressure and joyful to attend. We have fun, talk if we want to, don't talk if we don't want to and learn as much as we can about making the environment suitable for each other.
The board game cafe is run every other Friday, held at Loundsley Green Community Centre, Chesterfield, and would love to see you there! (No booking necessary)
£2 to attend, tuck shop available for snacks and drinks (Cash only)

Monthly Meet Up
Each month, we plan an evening activity with a group of clients which anyone (over 15) is welcome to join!
We aim to have fun, access social spaces together, make friends and relax. People can join us in any way which suits them best, and dip in and out of each meet up dependent on their interests.
We charge a small fee to cover ticket/ hire costs, and can provide transport and support for an additional cost (places limited).
Prior booking is needed to attend- bookings are closed 7 days before the event.

Example Activities planned for 2024:
Bowling
Mini golf
Pool
Christmas Party
Allotment
Rainbow Kite Project are the proud plot holders of a large allotment space in Eckington.

We use the plot as part of our therapeutic offer to neurodivergent adults and young people.
As the plot grows and becomes more useable, we will grow veg and a variety of plants, look after a selection of animals, care for wildlife and maintain the site, encouraging our clients to take ownership and become increasingly independent.
It is our eventual hope to run several allotment groups over the week, suitable for anyone who wishes to spend some therapeutic time in an outdoor setting. Watch this space as the plot gets ready for group use!
